Baby with placenta
A baby with a placenta is necessary for the birth simulation with the birth shorts.
This baby is a commercial doll – available at toy stores – with a crocheted placenta.
The material for the placenta is chunky-knit.
The umbilical cord is made with chain stitches.
The placenta is crocheted with single crochet stitches.
All the points are done with a large crochet hook – number 6 or 8.
The placenta is attached to the baby by a large snap button sewn into the doll’s belly and the end of the “umbilical cord”.
